Fueled by the results of "So You Think You Can Dance," FOX won Thursday night in most key measures.
Overall, CBS averaged a 5.6/10 to nip FOX's 5.5/10, but FOX's average viewership was several hundred thousand larger. ABC was a distant third with a 2.7/5, followed by NBC's 2.3/4. The CW trailed with a 1.3/2.
FOX won more easily among adults 18-49, doing a 3.2 rating in the key demo. CBS was a respectable second with a 2.5 rating, while NBC moved up to third with a 1.5 rating. ABC's 1.1 and the 0.8 rating for The CW followed.
At 8 p.m., FOX's "Don't Forget the Lyrics!" did a 5.1/10, beating CBS' "Big Brother," which had a 4.6/9 in the time period. ABC's "Ugly Betty" and NBC's "My Name Is Earl" tied for third, still easily topping the 1.4/3 for The CW's "Smallville."
CBS grabbed first at 9 p.m. with the 6.1/11 for "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation," which was actually watched by fewer people than "So You Think You Can Dance," though the FOX reality show did a 5.9/10 for the hour. ABC's "Grey's Anatomy" was third, followed by NBC's "The Office" and "Scrubs," which averaged a 2.6/5 between them. The CW's "Supernatural" held onto most of its lead-in.
"Without a Trace" did a 6.1/11 and gave CBS an easy 10 p.m. win. ABC's "Men in Trees" was second with a 2.5/5 and NBC's "E.R." barely registered.
