ABC, NBC, FOX, and CBS (The Big 4 Nets) not so good on Friday Nights....CW, the newcomer is gaining on Friday Nights!

What a terrible Friday night for the Big 4 Nets (CBS, ABC, FOX, and NBC). The four got higher viewers but still the numbers aren't so impressive. Meanwhile, The CW just aced the challenge on Friday nights. Why? Since "SmackDown!" premiered its 9th season on Sept. 21, 2007 (Friday) it just held steady gaining more viewers as more Friday nights come, even though it also losses about 500,000-600,000 viewers but it maintains above average on its viewership every Friday.

NBC's "Deal or No Deal" scored a 4.9/9 with all new episodes, "catastrophic", I say. CBS's "Moonlight" did well (because viewers are on the mood for the kind of genre) but we don't know if it can hold its viewers for the next Friday, ABC's "20/20," devastating, it made ABC on the top for 2 straight weeks and then it just collapsed. NBC's "Las Vegas" registered 9.11 million viewers.

FOX, is on a state of calamity, "Nashville" scored about 3 million viewers on its premier.

The winners for Sept. 28, 2007 (Friday) are:

"Friday Night SmackDown!" - The CW Network
"Las Vegas" - NBC

The losers for Sept. 28, 2007 are:

"20/20" - ABC
"Just For Laughs" - ABC

The bottom line is: The CW is the only network to gain or lose but still improve again and again. In short, The CW is the only TV Network to survive the DEATH SLOT --- Friday Nights.

International Television: After 1 year, was The CW a mistake or not?

Others are still shocked what happened to The WB and UPN, The CW just popped out. What if The CW were never formed? What would happen to the shows like: Veronica Mars, Smallville, Supernatural (WB), America's Next Top Model, Friday Night SmackDown!, Everybody Hates Chris (UPN)?

What did really happen? Here is the story how The CW was formed:

UPN -

UPN quietly went off the air on September 15, 2006; WWE Friday Night SmackDown! was the last official program (although some affiliates aired the optional weekend encore block), ending its existence after 11 years. However, UPN affiliates owned by Fox Television Stations Group ended all ties to the network on August 31, 2006. As a result UPN did not air its last two weeks of programming in New York City, Los Angeles, Chicago and six other media markets in which FOX owned the UPN station, also due in part to then upstart FOX owned MyNetworkTV, which was set to debut during that time on those stations. With the exception of WWE Friday Night SmackDown!, all programming during the final three months were reruns. Friday Night SmackDown!, however, was aired in those markets on WB stations owned by Tribune, which have since become CW stations.

After the network's official closure, UPN's website was redirected to CBS's website.

The WB -

Starting on August 14, 2006 with the Daytime WB block, the WB 'bug' was removed from the lower right corner of the TV screen and was replaced with a countdown of days until The CW launched. Some stations which converted to MyNetworkTV or became independent stations received a logo-free feed of the network, while others took the main feed and overlaid their local logo bug over the CW logo.

The WB closed on Sunday, September 17, 2006 with The Night of Favorites and Farewells, a five-hour block of pilot episodes of their past signature series and gaining only a 0.9 rating/2 share for its final broadcast.

----------

Even though the two 18-34 demographic (hunters) networks got very low ratings on their final day of broadcasting. The two still managed to survive by forming a new network.

GMA lauches Fremantle gameshows this October 2007......Too many gameshows, perhaps?

Source:
http://www.journal.com.ph/index.php?issue=2007-09-27&sec=3&aid=32883

-----------------

MY COMMENTS & QUESTIONS:

Too much game shows for GMA?
Are ABS-CBN & GMA desperate?

"Kakasa Ka Ba Sa 5th Grader" (GMA7) - "Are You Smarter Than A 5th Grader" (FOX)

Fact:

- Celebrity Duets in the US is a defunct show it didn't do fairly in the ratings, as a result it didn't even reach its 2nd season.

- For the ratings of the US version of "......5th Grader" all new episodes do fairly in ratings, but as of now it is loosing a little-itti-bitty viewers.

---------

I think ABS-CBN should switch Deal or No Deal with Game Ka Na Ba?.
Letting Deal or No Deal experience the sensation of daytime viewing and granting Game Ka Na Ba? the return to Primetime Bida.

"Endemol" is known for the shows it produced such as "Deal or No Deal," "Set For Life," "Big Brother," "Star Academy (Pinoy Dream Academy)," "Games Uplate Live," "Fear Factor," "1 VS 100" and many others.

Josselyn Hess weighed 6 pounds, 12 ounces and measured 20 inches long at birth.

Fidel Castro....healthy!

HAVANA - Fidel Castro looked alert and healthier during an hour-long interview taped and aired on Cuban television Friday, responding to rumors of his death with a defiant "here I am."

In the first video of the ailing 81-year-old revolutionary seen in more than three months, a pale Castro stayed seated the entire time, spoke slowly and softly and didn't always look the interviewer in the eye. But he appeared to be thinking clearly.

The Cuban leader said he thought the Bush administration could go to war with Iran and bemoaned the high cost of the war in Iraq, but provided no new details about his health, except to say, "Well, here I am."

Mocking rumors of his death that have circulated in Miami and elsewhere in the United States, he said "they say 'I was dying' and 'if I die' and 'I will die the day after tomorrow' or something."

"Nobody knows the day they are going to die," said Castro, who was forced to cede power to his younger brother Raul in July 2006 following emergency intestinal surgery. He has not appeared in public since.

Early in the interview, Castro often trailed off mid-sentence, and needed some prompting by the interviewer. He had bags under his eyes, sunken cheeks and his thin gray beard looked as wispy as ever. But he appeared to get stronger and more comfortable as time passed.

The video's release came as a surprise. Cuban officials broke into regularly scheduled programming only minutes before the video was broadcast to announce that a "conversation" with Castro would be shown. They said the interview was taped Friday.

Backing up the assertion, Castro mentioned recent prices of oil and the value of the euro against the dollar. He also discussed an essay he signed that was published in state media on Wednesday.

"Yesterday the euro was at US$1.41. Oil I think about US$84 a barrel," Castro said.

He also held up a copy of the new book by former U.S. Federal Reserve chairman Alan Greenspan, "The Age of Turbulence: Adventures in a New World." At one point he quoted from it, reading excerpted passages in very large type instead of using the book itself.

The Cuban leader wore a red, blue and white jumpsuit with "F. Castro" in small block letters.

"They criticize me" for wearing the tracksuit, Castro joked. But he said he was "not looking for anything elegant."

Castro's condition and exact ailment are state secrets, though he wrote in one of his many essays that he had undergone multiple surgeries, at least one of which went poorly. He is recovering in an undisclosed location.

For months, official photographs and videos were released to show Castro's recovery, but no new images had surfaced since he appeared in an interview on Cuban television June 5.

Arnaldo Fuster, who watched the Castro interview with his wife and children in his old Havana home, said he thought the Cuban leader looked better in the latest video.

"He's whole. He's better, I think, than ever," Fuster said. "He's old, but he's whole. His memory is normal, he looks normal."

But in Miami's Little Havana neighborhood, people greeted the Castro video with a mixture of skepticism and disappointment. Some doubted the tape was made on Friday.

"Could be six months ago. Could be one year ago," said Cuban-born Victoria Martinez, 76, of Hollywood, Fla., who called the leader's talk "incoherent."

Although there are frequent rumors of Castro's demise, they had reached a fever pitch in Miami last month after the leader's 81st birthday came without any news.

Marivi Garces, 47, who left Cuba when she was 8-years-old, said of the Cuban government, "Everything they do is manipulated."

"It could be six months ago, but they still keep it fresh," she said. "We can't trust him."

Earlier Friday, Vice President Carlos Lage told reporters that the essays Castro has signed every few days since late March are evidence that his health is strong.

"Fidel continues to recuperate. It's a productive recuperation as we can see in the press," said Lage, apparently referring to the publication in state newspapers of Castro's "Reflections of the Commander in Chief."

Also Friday, Foreign Minister Felipe Perez Roque said that "Fidel is recovering with discipline and I think that he's having a productive work period — reading, studying, writing and keeping up with and participating in the country's principal decisions."

In Venezuela, ally President Hugo Chavez started a speech with an announcement that Castro was speaking on Cuban state television. "A long life to Fidel and the Cuban revolution," he shouted.

Earlier while traveling in Brazil, Chavez said Castro was "close to death" but underwent several operations and has regained weight.

Castro had "three operations, and he's 81, imagine that. They changed almost all the blood with transfusions. Fidel is alive because he is Fidel," Chavez said.

WWE SmackDown! Update: Wedding Crashers on the night of Kristal and Teddy's wedding at the season premier of SmackDown! Wedding Bell to Wedding Hell.

ATLANTA – It was supposed to be the biggest season premiere ever on Friday Night SmackDown, and the happiest night in the lives of SmackDown General Manager Theodore Long and Kristal Marshall. Tragically, only one of those expectations was realized inside the Philips Arena…and it wasn’t the latter.

After months of planning, Long and Kristal were ready to say their “I do’s” before family, friends and fans on the biggest sports-entertainment stage on network television. Emanating from his hometown, the SmackDown GM joked before the wedding ceremony that Kristal would “holla-holla-holla” by the end of the night. How ironically prophetic those words would soon become, though not for the reason he envisioned.

The ceremony itself was a star-studded affair, featuring invited Superstars and Divas from SmackDown, Raw and ECW. Sitting up front was none other than WWE Chairman Mr. McMahon, Raw Executive Assistant Jonathan Coachman – and Mr. McMahon’s “li’llegitimate” son Hornswoggle, who popped out from under the ring, then planted himself down with a phone book-assisted ringside seat next to Coachman and “Daddy.” Also on hand were a slew of hometown celebrity guests, including popular rap duo Kaine & D-Roc, The Ying Yang Twins; Coming to the Stage host Bruce Bruce, who presided over the ceremony; and special musical artists Jagged Edge, who would perform live for the happy couple their No. 1 hit “Let’s Get Married.”

Flanked inside a spectacular ring-transformed altar by his son Antoine, former protégé Butch Reed and best man Ron Simmons, Long’s features emitted sheer elation as his lovely bride, dressed in white, walked down the aisle. Despite slipping on the steel steps – which Bruce Bruce eased with a comment about how she “fell for her love” – Kristal took her side between the groom and her bridal party, maid of honor and Assistant GM Vickie Guerrero, plus bridesmaids Michelle McCool and Torrie Wilson.

Perhaps there were some warning signs before the tragedy that was to unfold that Friday night. Raw’s screeching siren, Jillian, and her wedding “gift” – a song to commemorate the lovebirds’ special day – had to be literally carried away by Women’s Champion Candice and Mickie James. The Godfather came out and failed to convince Long to take one last ride “in the dirty South” on his “’Ho Train,” though he chugged out of “Hot-lanta” with a majority of the male Superstars (and SmackDown commentator John Bradshaw Layfield). And Hornswoggle relentlessly tormented Coachman with tiny taunts and slaps, to the point that a Benny Hill-style chase ensued under the bride’s gown, around the wedding decorations and all the way out of the Philips Arena.

Though Kristal was visibly upset, Long refused to let the matrimonial hi-jinx ruin their special day. In fact, it seemed nothing could take the smile off his face, or ever would as he heard his beloved say “I do” to loving him, in sickness and in health. That is, until Bruce Bruce asked if Long would do the same.

“I… I…” said the groom, unable to finish uttering his lifelong commitment as beads of sweat suddenly poured from his now-pale face.

Long then clutched at his chest and collapsed.

Kristal, sobbing hysterically, screamed for her intended to wake up, but without success. Vickie and the bridesmaids tended to her while Long’s groomsmen urged for medical assistance. Dr. Rios and EMT’s rushed to the side of the unresponsive GM, opening his shirt and covering his mouth with an oxygen mask. The wedding guests consisting of Superstars, Divas and our fans could only stand and watch, their stunned, horrified expressions painting a frighteningly grim description of what had just transpired.

As Friday Night SmackDown went off the air and its GM was rushed to a medical facility, the questions began to surface: What happened to Theodore Long? What’s his condition, and how will it affect the Friday night brand?

Granted, all these questions will require answers. But not now. Out of respect, we should allow Kristal her privacy, and let her watch over the man she had sworn to love…till death do they part. Hopefully, Theodore Long will soon recover and respond in kind.

WWE No Mercy Preview: Batista vs. Khali rematch

Through his translator Ranjin Singh, former champion The Great Khali has exercised his rematch clause for the World Heavyweight Championship. The match has been made by General Manager Theodore Long – a Punjabi Prison Match – at No Mercy on Sunday, Oct. 7.

The Punjab Giant will look to rebound from his defeat in the Triple Threat Match at Unforgiven, a match which saw Batista’s odyssey to the top of the SmackDown mountain finally capped with gold. But now, Batista faces his first major test since claiming the title from the more than 7-foot monster Khali, in one of the most brutal matches in WWE history.

Will Batista’s reign as champion be short-lived, or will The Animal be able to defeat The Great Khali in the confines of the bamboo-surrounded ring? The bigger question is, can the Punjabi Prison contain the hatred between Khali and Batista?

International Television: The FOX broadcast of 59th Emmy Awards snags ratings win!

Fast National ratings for
Sunday, Sept. 16, 2007

The Emmy Awards eked out a ratings win for FOX Sunday, but NBC's "Sunday Night Football" sent the trophy show to some of its lowest ratings of the past decade.

For the night, FOX averaged a 7.7 rating/13 share, narrowly beating NBC's 7.4/12. CBS finished third at 6.3/10 (both CBS and NBC had live sports airing in primetime, so their numbers are likely to change some). ABC took fourth with a 3.5/6, and The CW barely registered with a 0.8/1.

NBC captured the top spot among adults 18-49 with a 4.8 rating. FOX took second in the key demographic at 4.0, followed by CBS at 2.8. ABC drew a 2.0, and The CW fell well below the 1.0 line.

With help from late-ending NFL games, "60 Minutes" scored a 9.4/16 for CBS at 7 p.m. FOX's Emmy pre-show earned a 5.3/9 to take second, ahead of "Football Night in America," 4.6/8, on NBC. A repeat of "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition" was fourth for ABC. The CW aired a "Smallville" rerun.

WWE Unforgiven: The return of the Undertaker!

When Undertaker makes his return to the ring at Unforgiven, our fans will take notice, as will the entire SmackDown roster. But none should pay heed more than Mark Henry.

For weeks, the World’s Strongest Man has asserted that he doesn’t fear The Phenom from Death Valley, whom he viciously assaulted last May, in a post-match attack that cost Undertaker his World Heavyweight Championship. He has since declared himself the king of the SmackDown jungle, and left behind a pile of beaten, broken opponents who dare answer his Open Challenge to the Superstars in the locker room. Yet after each dismantling of an adversary, druids have suddenly appeared, each carrying an increasingly strong message for Henry: That “the man who can’t be destroyed” will return at Unforgiven.

This time, the self-proclaimed Silverback won’t be ambushing an already-injured Undertaker who just barely emerged victorious from his brutal Steel Cage Match with Batista. This time, The Phenom will be healthy, focused and determined solely on claiming the soul of Mark Henry, the latest on a long list of souls he has collected throughout his frighteningly successful career in the ring. Can Henry’s sheer power and brute strength withstand this vengeful spirit, or will the World’s Strongest Man become the latest of those whom The Phenom has laid to rest in peace?

Triple Threat Match: No friends, you can't trust anyone!

Rey Mysterio spent 10 months rehabbing his surgically repaired left knee, but he only needed his first week back on SmackDown to win a Championship Competition and become the No. 1 Contender for The Great Khali’s World Heavyweight Title at Unforgiven. Squaring off against the 7-foot-3, 420-pound champion was an enormous challenge that Mysterio was more than willing to accept. But recent developments have motivated SmackDown GM Theodore Long to decide that Rey will play modern-day David against two of SmackDown’s mightiest Goliaths – Khali, and his longtime friend, Batista – at Unforgiven.

Despite an unsatisfying SummerSlam win over Khali via disqualification, The Animal has remained a persistent thorn in the massive side of the World Heavyweight Champion. So much so that he thwarted the Punjabi colossus from utilizing a near-two-foot, 250-pound advantage over Mysterio with a Khali Vise Grip on his masked skull. Despite Batista’s ring rescue, Rey looked badly injured from the brutal attack; this, in turn, prompted Long to officially declare that the World Heavyweight Title contest at Unforgiven – should Rey Mysterio still be physically able to appear – would now be a Triple Threat Match.

Batista and Mysterio have been friends for a long time, and clearly both Superstars would like to see the giant fall hard at the pay-per-view. But like most Triple Threat Matches, one needn’t pin the champion in order to win the championship. It’s hard enough to take a monster like The Great Khali off his feet, let alone pin him in the ring; however,
if push comes to shove at Unforgiven, will these friends turn on each other in order to seize a golden opportunity?

In terms of size and power, this three-sided tale of the tape favors The Great Khali. When it comes to relentless, unbridled fury, no man can match The Animal. Yet if either Khali or Batista expect Mysterio to be easy prey, then their heads are stuck foolishly in the clouds. Just ask the other “bigger, stronger” Superstars who believed themselves above the former World Champion, only to fall fast to a pair of 619-propelled boots through the ropes. Many three-counts have ended with Rey Mysterio standing head and shoulders above the competition…and Unforgiven may be his chance to once again stand tallest in all of sports-entertainment.

WWE SmackDown! Update: Batista's skull crushed by Khali's Vise Grip.

Who's left?
By Louie Dee
Written: September 14, 2007

MINNEAPOLIS – While the SmackDown match between Batista and The Great Khali may have been a network television first, the end result was one that our fans – and The Animal – have unfortunately seen before. Less than 48 hours before Unforgiven, The Great Khali once again used his devastating Vise Grip to crush Batista’s skull, leaving one of his pay-per-view challengers destroyed for the second week in a row.

While questions still abound about Rey Mysterio’s condition and whether or not he will make it to Unforgiven’s Triple Threat Match, The Animal was rip-roaring and ready to go for his non-title clash with Khali. Batista was so ready, in fact, that he gave the World Heavyweight Champion another taste of his spear on Raw Monday night.

All that meant nothing once the bell rang for their SmackDown match, the first time Batista and The Great Khali went one-on-one on network television. The Punjabi powerhouse physically dominated The Animal and pounded him at will, a scene our fans have rarely witnessed.

However, even after facing Khali’s non-stop onslaught, Batista found a way to block the champion’s first attempt to lock on the Khali Vise Grip. The Animal then somehow hoisted up and nailed the 7-foot-3 giant with a thunderous spinebuster that shook the ring. Batista appeared to be moments from finishing off his opponent, but just as he went for his Batista Bomb, the wheels fell off the proverbial apple cart once more.

Khali escaped the Batista Bomb predicament, clobbering The Animal with a massive chop. Moments later, the Khali Vise Grip was locked in. Batista fought valiantly, finally getting to the ropes to force the referee to call for a break. That didn’t seem to matter to the World Heavyweight Champion, who continued to squeeze Batista’s cranium. The referee counted to five and Khali still didn’t break the hold, resulting in the champion being disqualified. Again, none of that mattered to him; the more important mission was to put Batista on the shelf, just like he had with Rey Mysterio a week earlier.

Finally, after a few minutes that must have seemed like an eternity to Batista, Khali released his grip, letting The Animal fall to the mat like a deflated balloon. For the second straight week, one of Khali’s Unforgiven challengers was left crumpled in a heap, thanks to the awesome power of the World Heavyweight Champion.

After seeing the carnage he has caused these past two weeks, our fans may be wondering why any WWE Superstar would want to climb into the ring with The Great Khali. Batista and Rey Mysterio have the chance to do so at Unforgiven, but thanks to the trauma they’ve suffered at the massive hands of the World Heavyweight Champion, what shape will either of them be in – provided they’re even in any shape to make it there?

Annabel Rama is still a boiling kettle!

source:
http://www.pep.ph/news/14710/Annabelle-Rama-on-Yilmaz-Bektas:-%22Hindi-ko-siya-kayang-patawarin.%22

"Wala namang subok.

NOT YET READY TO FORGIVE.

TELL THE TRUTH.

"Just tell the truth, Ruffa," pagkukumbinsi pa ni Annabelle sa anak.

CINCINNATI – The math didn’t seem to add up right with regards to SmackDown’s two main events last Friday night. When all was said and done, the only number that made any sense was three – which is precisely what SmackDown General Manager Theodore Long settled on. As a result, at Unforgiven, The Great Khali will put his World Heavyweight Title on the line in a Triple Threat Match, against Batista and – hopefully – Rey Mysterio.

So how did this “new math” come about in Cincinnati’s U.S. Bank Arena? It started with a Saturday Night’s Main Event tag rematch, in which Batista & Kane squared off against Khali & Finlay. The Fighting Irishman had deprived both the Big Red Monster and The Animal from advancing to the Championship Competition’s final round a week prior, only to fall short himself against the returning Rey Mysterio. But that wouldn’t stop either Superstar from taking their frustrations out on Finlay, or the Punjabi Goliath against whom Mysterio will play modern-day David at the pay-per-view one week from Sunday.

For the majority of the tag contest, it seemed that the Irishman and the World Heavyweight Champion were in complete control, double-teaming Kane inside the ring while keeping Batista at bay on the outside. Yet when Finlay tried taking advantage of a distracted referee and using his shillelagh on Kane, The Animal struck swift and fierce, almost spearing the Celtic combatant in half. Khali stepped over the top rope to intervene, only to be met with a twin-powered flurry of punches and clothesline that sent him hurtling all the way to the outside floor. Kane then caught the still-reeling Finlay with a canvas-denting chokeslam, giving himself and Batista the hard-fought victory.

Later inside the squared circle, it was Chavo Guerrero who introduced the second half of the integral Unforgiven equation. After informing our fans how the steel chair in his hand represented a piece of Rey Mysterio’s past – meaning their previous “I Quit” encounter last October, during which Chavo’s repeated chair smashes shattered the masked Superstar’s left knee, forcing him out of SmackDown action for nearly a year – Guerrero emphasized that the steel would also symbolize a piece of his archrival’s future.

“Rey…I am going to smash your hopes and dreams of becoming the World Champion at Unforgiven,” he said, even before Mysterio made his way down to the ring. “There will be no gold championship in your future, Rey. Only cold, hard steel.”

Our fans wondered why Mysterio would accept Chavo’s challenge with only nine days to go before his World Heavyweight Title opportunity against The Great Khali. Some questioned if a sense of machismo had gotten the better of him; others, however, believed that the Sultan of the 619 wanted personal redemption. Despite beating Chavo at SummerSlam only two weeks prior, Rey needed to know deep down that he could force Guerrero to voice the two humiliating words that signaled victory in an “I Quit” Match – the two words that Mysterio himself had been made to utter last year.

Both Superstars proved relentless throughout this incredible match, each delivering a ring assault that made our fans recoil on their couches at home, and cringe in the seats of the U.S. Bank Arena. Each also relied on the steel chair like a tag partner to power much of their offense, though it was Mysterio who wielded it last. And when a chair to the skull left Chavo tangled upside-down across the top turnbuckle, Rey turned his quest for redemption into a night of personal reckoning.

In what felt like an inverted sense of déjà vu, the masked high-flyer unloaded more than a half-dozen chair blasts across the overturned Chavo’s left knee – the same knee that Mysterio had surgically repaired 10 months ago. Yet unlike the outcome from that “I Quit” Match, this time it was Guerrero who dangled and clutched at his knee in agony, leaving him no option but to scream those words of surrender into the microphone. At this juncture, it would be irresponsible to speculate how badly the knee was damaged; judging from how fast officials aided Chavo out of the ring, however, the chances of a swift recovery do not look promising.

Rey Mysterio should have been allowed to bask in this moment of triumph. Instead, The Great Khali suddenly lumbered toward the squared circle, and confronted his vulnerable, visibly battle-weary Unforgiven challenger. Despite Mysterio’s efforts to launch an aerial assault against the giant, a massive size 18EEEE boot to the face immediately grounded him. The valiant Superstar then struggled to his feet…only to find his entire head trapped in the Khali Vise Grip.

Actually locking his long fingers together around Rey’s skull, the 7-foot-3 champion squeezed, forcing blood to spew from Mysterio’s mouth almost as quickly as the air Khali had squashed from a basketball several weeks back. In this instance, however, the result was nearly too graphic even to describe in words, while our fans could only sit and watch, shocked and horrified.

Thankfully, one man refused to stand idle and witness the unfolding tragedy any longer. Batista raced down and attacked the Punjabi colossus, driving him out of the ring with a spear that would break any normal individual in two. The Animal would not rage long, though; as officials and EMTs rushed to aid the fallen Mysterio, Batista’s ire changed to genuine concern – concern over how much damage his friend had suffered while trapped in Khali’s monstrous clutches, and if any of that damage was permanent.

Concern was the last thing on the mind of the champion giant and his translator, Ranjin Singh, as they exited from the U.S. Bank Arena; if anything, they actually looked pleased at what Khali had done to Mysterio only moments before. That is, until an incensed Theodore Long confronted the pair about what they may have taken away from Unforgiven, then made a huge addition to The Great Khali’s World Heavyweight Title defense at the pay-per-view.

“If Rey Mysterio can make it to Unforgiven, he won’t be alone,” the SmackDown GM declared. “He’ll have the help of another man: Batista, as the match is now going to be a Triple-Threat Match!”
Long left a visibly upset Singh to translate the message for the Punjabi colossus, though he needn’t have bothered; judging from The Great Khali’s vehement roars of protest, he already figured out what was said. But come one week from Sunday, the World Heavyweight Champion may come across a two-fold problem that even his great size and power can’t solve.
