WWE ushers in the biggest season premiere ever for Friday Night SmackDown with the star-studded wedding of General Manager Theodore Long and Kristal. After months of preparing for their nuptials, the two will finally celebrate their love and tie the knot in Atlanta. Wedding guests include Superstars and Divas from the Friday night brand, Raw and ECW, plus Atlanta natives like standup extraordinaire Bruce Bruce and rap duo Kaine & D-Roc, the Ying Yang Twins. And as a special wedding gift to his lovely bride, the SmackDown GM has hired “Hot-lanta’s” own multi-platinum recording artist Jagged Edge to sing their No. 1 hit Let’s Get Married. Clearly, this Friday is shaping up to be a night of celebration like no other.
As if the matrimonial party of the year wasn’t enough, the new World Heavyweight Champion, Batista, will also be on hand for SmackDown’s season premiere, as will Rey Mysterio. Taking part in his first interview since returning to Friday night ring action, the masked Master of the 619 will discuss his road back from a devastating knee injury and what’s next for him. After a losing bid to capture the World Title at Unforgiven against The Great Khali and his friend Batista, will Rey continue to pursue the gold?
Let questions be answered and the wedding commence for television’s most amazing season premiere ever on Friday Night SmackDown, 8/7 CT, only on The CW Network.
