CBS wins overall, but 'Kitchen Nightmares' leads the 18-49 demo

Fans of "CSI" must be gearing up for the show's forthcoming premiere, because the show's rerun ratings were up substantially Thursday.
The crime drama's strong performance helped CBS average a 6.3 rating/11 share for the night, which was well ahead of the competition. ABC (3.7/6), NBC (3.5/6) and FOX (3.4/6) all finished within 200,000 viewers of one another, with FOX grabbing the most total viewers (5.44 million). The CW came in at 2.5/4.
In the adults 18-49 demographic, FOX's 2.4 rating edged CBS' 2.3 for the lead. ABC, NBC and The CW finished in a three-way tie for third at 1.8.
The first of two "CSI" reruns on CBS drew a 5.5/9 at 8 p.m. NBC took second for the hour with "America's Got Talent," 6.3/11, and "My Name Is Earl," 3.3/6. ABC's " Ugly Betty" repeat, 3.1/5, came in third among households, but FOX's "Hole in the Wall" snagged a few more total viewers. The season premiere of "Smallville" earned a 2.7/5 for The CW.
A second "CSI" grabbed the night's biggest audience at 9 p.m. with a 6.9/11. FOX's "Kitchen Nightmares," 3.9/6, finished second in viewers and led the hour among adults 18-49, despite trailing ABC's " Grey's Anatomy," 4.0/6, in households. An hour-long "Office" rerun put NBC in fourth, ahead of "Supernatural," which premiered to a 2.3/4 on The CW.
"Flashpoint," 6.6/11, scored its best ratings of the season to finish the CBS sweep at 10 p.m. "Grey's Anatomy," 4.2/7, kept ABC ahead of NBC and "ER," 2.7/5.
