Lindsay Lohan is "in a stronger place" right now—and that is out of rehab.
The actress was preparing to leave Cirque Lodge Treatment Center in Utah, where she's been sobering up, laying low and otherwise putting her life back together for close to two months.
Her father, Michael, exclusively told E! Online he was at the facility Friday afternoon helping pack her bags.
“I am so blessed to have her back," said the elder Lohan, who reconciled with Lindsay during her Cirque stint.
The 21-year-old actress is headed back to Los Angeles to begin shooting her new movie, the romantic drama Dare to Love Me, as well as to continue treatment as an outpatient at a Cirque-affiliated facility in the area.
Harkening back to the days when she was known solely for her promise as an artist, Lohan has been rehearsing her lines and practicing the tango for her musically inclined role.
Michael Lohan said that Lindsay is in "a stronger place than ever" and is approaching sobriety with more confidence this time around.
Her biggest challenge, he added, will be divesting herself of bad influences—as in, the club-hopping pals that have always surrounded her.
While she was at Cirque, at least, Lohan seemed to finally be engaging in the correct kind of feel-good activities.
She was photographed hiking and biking and her daily to-do list inclued activities such as yoga, equine therapy, river rafting and journal-writing. Lohan also enrolled in the center's work-treatment program which found her stocking shelves at a local supermarket, with all of her earnings going to charity.
The sojourn in Utah was Lohan's third go-round in rehab this year, this one necessitated by her July 24 DUI bust, the starlet's second boozed-fueled auto incident of the year. She checked in to Cirque during the first week of August.
It was during this last stay, however, that Lohan finally came to terms with her ongoing troubles.
"It is clear to me that my life has become completely unmanageable, because I am addicted to alcohol and drugs," she said in a statement in August.
"I very much want to be healthy and gain control of my life and career, and have asked for medical help in doing so. I am taking these steps to improve my life. Luckily, I am not alone in my daily struggle and I know that people like me have succeeded. Maybe with time it will become easier. I hope so."
Lindsay is hankering to return to her day job and prove herself, or, as Michael puts it, "to get her career on track."
And get back in the law's good graces. Encompassing both her July arrest and the May 26 car accident that proceeded her stay at Promises, she pleaded guilty to two misdemeanor counts of being under the influence of cocaine and no contest to two counts of driving with a blood-alcohol level over 0.08 percent and one of reckless driving.
She was sentenced to one day in county jail and placed on three years' probation. Additionally, Lohan was ordered to perform 10 days of community service, complete an 18-month alcohol-education program and drug treatment, and attend a three-day county coroner program.
She is also facing a court date next April in a negligence lawsuit. The case was filed by a man whose van Lindsay hit in October 2005, and he is claiming she was intoxicated at the time of the crash.
