A broadcast of the motion-capture holiday film "The Polar Express" helped ABC win Friday night in all key measures.
Overall, ABC averaged a 5.4 rating/9 share, topping the 5.1/9 for NBC. CBS was third with a 4.4/8, followed by the 2.7/8 for The CW and FOX's 2.3/4.
ABC won even more easily among adults 18-49, doing a 2.7 rating in the important demo. NBC stayed second with a 2.0 rating, better than the 1.7 rating for CBS or The CW's 1.3 and FOX's 1.2 rating.

NBC actually started the night in first with a 6.6/12 for "Deal or No Deal." The first hour of "The Polar Express" had a 5.5/10 for ABC, beating the first hour of CBS' "My Night at the Grammys" compilation special. The CW's "WWE Friday Night Smackdown" had a 2.6/4, comfortably in front of the 1.5/3 for "The Great American Band" on FOX.
