Fast National ratings for Sunday, Dec. 2, 2007 (USA)
The strongest performance this season by "Desperate Housewives" helped ABC snag the top spot in Sunday's ratings.
ABC averaged an 8.6 rating/13 share in primetime, beating out CBS, 7.7/12, for the top spot. NBC, 7.0/11, and FOX, 6.5/10, were also competitive (thanks in part to live sports telecasts on both networks). The same could not be said of The CW, which registered a miniscule 0.8/1.

Late-ending NFL games scored a 10.2/16 for FOX at 7 p.m., topping the 9.2/14 for "60 Minutes" on CBS. "America's Funniest Home Videos" drew a 4.6/7 for ABC. NBC got a 3.8/6 from "Football Night in America," while The CW went with "CW Now" (0.7/1) and an "Aliens in America" (0.6/1) rerun.
"Extreme Makeover: Home Edition," 8.4/12, moved ABC into the lead at 8 p.m. NBC jumped up to second with its "Sunday Night Football" game (7.7/11) between the Pittsburgh Steelers and Cincinnati Bengals. "The Amazing Race" scored a 6.8/10 for CBS, beating out the "BCS Selection Show," 6.9/10, and a "Simpsons" rerun, 4.0/6, on FOX. "Life Is Wild" (0.9/1) brought up the rear for The CW.
At 9 p.m., "Desperate Housewives" grabbed the night's biggest audience with a 12.7/18. "Sunday Night Football" earned an 8.6/12 for NBC. The CW finished its night with an "America's Next Top Model" (0.9/1) rerun.
