Yes, you have heard that before, but we'll go on anyway: FOX easily won the Wednesday-night race with a 12.5 rating/19 share. NBC finished a distant second at 5.7/9. CBS, 5.2/8, came in third. ABC took fourth with a 4.1/7, and The CW trailed with a 1.9/3.
In the adults 18-49 demographic, FOX's 8.2 rating beat the combined total of the other four English-language nets. NBC's 2.2 was good for second, while ABC and CBS tied for third at 2.1. The CW drew a 1.4.
The performances of "American Idol's" final eight women scored a 16.0/25 for FOX at 8 p.m. "Law & Order: Criminal Intent" put NBC in second with a 4.7/7. "Big Brother: 'Til Death Do You Part" earned a 3.8/6 for CBS, edging "Wife Swap" on ABC. "America's Next Top Model" delivered a 2.4/4 for The CW.
FOX held the lead at 9 p.m. with "The Moment of Truth," 9.0/14. CBS moved up to second with a "Criminal Minds" rerun, 6.1/9, which narrowly beat "Deal or No Deal," 5.9/9, on NBC.
