'So You Think You Can Dance' holds off NBC's 'Deal or No Deal'

The first night of "So You Think You Can Dance" competing helped FOX win Wednesday night in all key measures.
Overall, FOX averaged a 5.4 rating/9 share, just in front of the 5.3/9 for CBS. NBC was third with a 4.8/8, leaving ABC's 2.9/5 and The CW's 1.0/2 trailing.
FOX had a more comfortable win among adults 18-49, doing a 3.4 rating in the demographic advertisers love the best. NBC was second with a 2.2 rating and CBS' 1.7 rating was good for third. ABC was fourth with a 1.4 rating and The CW trailed with a 0.6 rating.
At 8 p.m. FOX got a 5.0/9 for "So You Think You Can Dance," nipping the 4.8/9 for "Deal or No Deal" on NBC. With a 4.2/8, CBS' "Price Is Right" was third," leaving repeats of "Wife Swap" on ABC and "America's Next Top Model" on The CW far back.
FOX's dancing competition show was up to a 5.9/10 in its second hour, holding off CBS' "Criminal Minds," which was up to a 5.6/9. NBC's "Deal" was a close third, nearly doubling up "Supernanny" on ABC. The CW's "Farmer Wants a Wife" had a 1.2/2 for fifth.
CBS closed in first with a 6.2/11 for "CSI: NY." NBC's premiere of "Celebrity Circus" did a 3.9/7, toppling the 3.1/5 for the series finale of "Men in Trees" on ABC.
