Oprah Named Most Powerful Celebrity Again
Tiger Woods and Angelina Jolie followed close behind
Even if the top power couples -- Angelina Jolie/Brad Pitt and Beyonce/Jay-Z -- combined their incomes, they still wouldn't be able to surpass the fame and pay that has taken Oprah Winfrey to the top of Forbes' annual Power List.
It's the second year running for the talk show host and media empress to be named the most powerful with an estimated whopping $275 million. The new issue of Forbes featuring the 78th ranked Heidi Klum on the cover, hits newsstands Friday, June 13 and ranks celebrities according to a formula that takes into account Internet searches, mentions in the media, cover shoots and of course, money.
In second place is golfer Tiger Woods, followed by Jolie, well ahead of Pitt, who ranked in 10th place. Beyonce snagged the fourth spot, while hubby Jay-Z held a respectable seventh.
The Top 10 and their income for the past year:
1 Oprah Winfrey, $275 million 2 Tiger Woods, $115 million 3 Angelina Jolie, $14 million 4 Beyoncé Knowles, $80 million 5 David Beckham, $50 million 6 Johnny Depp, $72 million 7 Jay-Z, $82 million 8 The Police, $115 million 9 J.K. Rowling, $300 million 10 Brad Pitt, $20 million
The rise of tween fans landed Disney Channel star Miley Cyrus (#35) and "High School Musical" cronies Zac Efron (#92) and Ashley Tisdale (#94) on the list, along with " Harry Potter" star Daniel Radcliffe (#64) and the Jonas Brothers (#89).
Some notable newcomers to the list include Steve Carell (#87), Lauren Conrad (#97), "Sex & the City" star Sarah Jessica Parker (#72), Tina Fey (#99) and singer Gwen Stefani (#63).
Celebrity chefs are still enjoying their rise as well. Perky Rachael Ray ranked 76th overall, while Wolfgang Puck (#91) and "Hell's Kitchen" chef Gordon Ramsay (#95) joined Southern gal Paula Deen, who finished in last, but certainly not least, place at 100.
