Fast National ratings for Wednesday, Oct. 17, 2007 (USA)
CBS snagged the top overall spot in Wednesday's ratings, while ABC grabbed a narrow win among younger viewers.
Led by its crime dramas, CBS averaged a 7.7 rating/12 share for the night. ABC, 7.0/11, came in second, followed by NBC at 6.1/10. FOX took fourth at 4.4/7, and The CW drew a 2.5/4.
In the adults 18-49 demographic, ABC finished first with a 3.7 rating, narrowly beating CBS' 3.5. NBC's 3.1 was good for third, followed by FOX, 2.8, and The CW, 1.9.
NBC's "Deal or No Deal," 7.8/13, won the 8 p.m. hour over ABC's "Pushing Daisies," 6.6/11, which held fairly steady from its performance last week. "Kid Nation" put CBS in third with a 4.7/8, beating out "Back to You" and "'Til Death" on FOX. "America's Next Top Model" scored a 3.3/5 for The CW.
