'American Idol' Mines Diamond Tuesday
FOX rules night, 'Hell's Kitchen' hits series high in viewers

Fast National ratings for Tuesday, April 29, 2008

FOX outshone its rivals in Tuesday's ratings, thanks to a night of Neil Diamond songs on "American Idol."

For the night, FOX earned a 10.8 rating/17 share. CBS took second with a 7.2/11, beating out ABC's 6.7/10. NBC, 4.2/7, came in fourth. The CW trailed with a 1.4/2.

FOX also dominated the adults 18-49 demographic with a 7.1 rating. ABC and CBS tied for second but were well off the pace at 2.4. NBC drew a 2.1, and The CW managed only a 0.9.

"American Idol" scored a 14.3/22 for FOX at 8 p.m., improving a smidge on its performance from last week. CBS was a solid second with "NCIS," 9.3/15. A pair of "According to Jim" episodes averaged 3.0/5 for ABC, which was good enough to beat the 2.3/4 for "Most Outrageous Moments" and "Saturday Night Live: The Best of Alec Baldwin" on NBC. "Beauty and the Geek" trailed for The CW.

ABC took the overall lead at 9 p.m. with the "Dancing with the Stars" results show, 11.2/17. FOX, however, had a substantial edge among adults 18-49 thanks to "Hell's Kitchen," 7.2/11. CBS dropped to third with the return of "Shark," 6.8/10. NBC's "SNL" special stayed in front of The CW's "Reaper" (1.6/2), but not by much.

The 200th episode of "Law & Order: SVU," with guest star Robin Williams, scored an 8.1/13 for NBC at 10 p.m. "Women's Murder Club" returned to ABC with a 5.8/10, bleeding about half its lead-in audience. A "CSI" repeat on CBS posted a 5.3/9.

Britney Spears to Return to CBS' "How I Met Your Mother" (Zap2it)

Britney Spears Returning to 'HIMYM'
Singer's 'How I Met Your Mother' reprise set for May 12

Britney Spears, whose first appearance on "How I Met Your Mother" pushed the CBS comedy to ratings highs, will be back for May sweeps.

The return of the pop tartlet to "HIMYM" had been rumored since her first appearance on March 24 drew nearly 10.7 million viewers and generated relatively positive reviews.

Spears begins production on Monday (April 28) for an episode titled "Everything Must Go," set to air on May 12.

[It should be noted that rather serious spoilers are about to follow, so take your leave if you must.]

Britney Spears and Josh Radnor on 'How I Met Your Mother'

The episode finds Spears' increasingly less meek-and-mousy receptionist Abby bonding with Neil Patrick Harris' Barney over their hatred for Josh Radnor's Ted (a turn of events that suggest definite blowback from the events that closed last week's "HIMYM"). In order to cause Ted a little pain, Barney and Abby decide to pretend they're dating and begin pushing their "relationship" to get a rise out of Ted.

As per usual, hilarity ensues.

"We're all so thrilled to have Britney joining us once again," says series co-creator/executive producer Craig Thomas. "And just to head it off at the pass this time around: Yes, Mom, Britney's very nice and no, I can't get her autograph for you."

Catch the newest reality show, Farmer Wants A Wife, premieres Wednesday at 9/8c (after an all new America's Next Top Model) only on The CW.

From Zap2it:

On "Farmer Wants a Wife," lonely third-generation farmer Matt is ready to settle down, but the crop of eligible women in West Alton, Missouri is scarce at best. So he's importing 10 women from the big city to see if one of them can get hitched to his wagon.

But why would a city gal seek love with a farmer?

Why wouldn't a city gal seek love with a farmer?

Farmers are hard workers, good with their hands, man enough to operate heavy machinery, look good in trucker hats and bring home the bacon (sometimes literally).

Need more? The worlds of film and TV have long understood the appeal of those who work the soil. Check out Zap2it's guide to the hottest farmers on screen.

The WB Revived Online
'Buffy,' 'Everwood' and other shows will stream on new site

The WB lives on.

Eighteen months after shutting down its TV network that captured the youth zeitgeist with such shows as "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" and "Dawson's Creek," Warner Bros. Television said Monday that it was resurrecting The WB vibe and moniker on the Internet.

David Boreanaz and Sarah Michelle Gellar on 'Buffy the Vampire Slayer'

The studio, part of the Time Warner Inc. empire, has been experimenting with ways to parlay its strength in TV programming onto the Web. Although earlier efforts sputtered, Warner Bros. now believes that targeting younger audiences with advertiser-friendly online communities is the most promising strategy.

"I see ourselves as being in the storytelling business, and this is just a different platform to tell stories," says Bruce Rosenblum, president of the Warner Bros. Television Group. "We are developing targeted niche destinations that will fulfill advertisers' appetites."

Its website, TheWB.com, is scheduled to debut in August and will feature episodes of such popular Warner Bros.-produced series as "Friends," "The O.C." and "Gilmore Girls." However, Rosenblum believes that original programming created specifically for the Internet ultimately will be a bigger hit among the under-35 audience that advertisers seek.

Warner Bros. has recruited several producers to develop content for the site, including Josh Schwartz, creator of "The O.C." and McG, director of the "Charlie's Angels" movies. McG plans to team with the producers of the digital series "Prom Queen" for a new show called "Sorority Forever."

The site will feature an application that permits users of Facebook to grab Warner Bros. images to decorate their profile pages without violating the studio's copyright.

Warner Bros. said it would provide its programs to Fancast, the video site of television programming owned by Comcast Corp.

In addition, Warner Bros. is relaunching its children's site, now named KidsWB.com, with Comcast as a distribution partner. Mattel Inc. and McDonald's Corp. have agreed to participate in the venture, which will target children 6 to 12 and draw upon the studio's cartoon characters.

Miley Cyrus (a.k.a. Hannah Montana) Embarrassed About Half-Naked Pic

Story Source: http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20080428/ap_en_ce/people_miley_cyrus

Miley Cyrus says Vanity Fair photo spread embarrasses her (by Associated Press)

LOS ANGELES - Miley Cyrus is taking issue with a photo of herself that's going around, and it's n
ot another amateur, truth-or-dare Internet snapshot — it's the handiwork of Annie Leibovitz.

"I took part in a photo shoot that was supposed to be 'artistic' and now, seeing the photographs and reading the story, I feel so embarrassed," Cyrus said Sunday in a statement through her publicist. "I never intended for any of this to happen and I apologize to my fans who I care so deeply about."

The photos, appearing in the upcoming issue of Vanity Fair, were taken by Leibovitz, a renowned celebrity photographer whose edgy, silver-toned portraits have included subjects such as Angelina Jolie, Scarlett Johansson and a naked, pregnant Demi Moore.

"I'm sorry that my portrait of Miley has been misinterpreted," Leibovitz said in a statement released by Vanity Fair. "Miley and I looked at fashion photographs together and we discussed the picture in that context before we shot it. The photograph is a simple, classic portrait, shot with very little makeup, and I think it is very beautiful."

The Cyrus pictures accompany an interview with the 15-year-old pop star and her father, singer Billy Ray Cyrus. One photo in particular is causing the biggest stir: the teen idol is wrapped in what appears to be a satin bedsheet, looking over her shoulder with her back exposed.

The Disney Channel, which airs Cyrus' TV show "Hannah Montana," was also critical of Vanity Fair.

"Unfortunately, as the article suggests, a situation was created to deliberately manipulate a 15-year-old in order to sell magazines," a network statement said.

Vanity Fair defended the story and photo shoot in a statement of its own.

"Miley's parents and/or minders were on the set all day," the magazine said. "Since the photo was taken digitally, they saw it on the shoot and everyone thought it was a beautiful and natural portrait of Miley."

In a caption released by Vanity Fair with the photo, Cyrus expressed her comfort with how the apparently topless picture turned out.

"I think it's really artsy," she told the magazine at the time. "It wasn't in a skanky way. Annie took, like, a beautiful shot, and I thought that was really cool. That's what she wanted me to do, and you can't say no to Annie."

A handful of borderline racy snapshots of a girl who appeared to be Cyrus have appeared on the Internet in recent months, including images of a girl posing in her underwear and bikini last week. In one shot, she's draped over a young man.

Cyrus is one of the biggest — and most G-rated — acts in the country and is often considered a role model for young girls. Her "Best of Both Worlds" tour sold out arenas, and her successful 3-D concert film collected $31.3 million in its opening weekend in February.

Kris Aquino in "Deal or No Deal" US Version - airs May 7th on NBC!

Kris Aquino in U.S. edition of "Deal or No Deal"

With over sixty franchises in different countries around the world, the popular game show Deal or No Deal embarks on a world tour that aims to show American audiences how the game of chance is played on the other side of the globe.

In the Philippines, Kapamilya Deal or No Deal aired for two seasons before giving way to Kris Aquino's other game show Wheel of Fortune. The female host once again flashed the thumbs up sign for a special episode that pairs her with Deal or No Deal U.S. edition host Howie Mandel.

Mandel was in Manila from April 22 to 25 in order to film his adventures as he sampled local cuisine, interacted with Filipinos, and shopped for souvenirs.

THE REAL DEAL. As part of the two-hour special titled Deal or No Deal-Around the World, Mandel taped episodes in three countries (Estonia, South Africa, and the Philippines) where two American contestants will play according to foreign rules but with briefcases still containing U.S. dollars.

In a press conference organized by ABS-CBN last April 22, Kris and Mandel expressed their excitement over working on the special episode. Both hosts revealed that they went over several DVDs of each other's shows, and got hooked right away.

On working with Howie, Kris shared, "I really felt, wow, this is so exciting, knowing that his show still currently rates number one on primetime. Papasok na sila sa fourth year nila, and he's still number one. It's so good to be with somebody who is that loved in America."

Mandel said that he is equally excited to start the project. "We added your flair, your culture... We'll watch you play with the contestants, we'll watch the flavor of the Philippines. It's so exciting, and it makes me even more excited to be here, and to share your excitement, your culture, and your game with our people in America. They're gonna love it."

When asked about what she loves about the U.S. version, Kris Aquino said that in the other show, it's all about eye contact. "So you can really relate to the player. But that's because they have an hour and we have thirty minutes. That's what I wish we had."

Kris explained that in the U.S. show, Mandel is able to act as a kuya or mentor to the players, a privilege that she was unable to use because of the short airtime.

She also added that she knew she had to develop her own personality "kasi ayokong sabihin nila na ginagaya ko lang si Howie."

According to her, she gave a totally new flavor to the show by speaking in a fast, excited tone. "His version is a lot slower [because] there's more time there. So na-enjoy ko talaga yung sa kanya and I think that's why na-excite kaming lahat."

The celebrated game show host also revealed that her mother, former President Cory Aquino who has been diagnosed with colon cancer, was very excited as well.

"I just really want my mom to be happy and to be proud with whatever time that's remaining right now," said Kris. The game show host added that she agreed to do the special episode because she knows "that it would make Filipinos proud of what we Filipinos can accomplish."

The special episode of Deal or No Deal is produced by ABS-CBN under Alou Almaden's business unit and directed by Bobet Vidanes.

According to Shannon Herlihy, Endemol USA Manager of Production, the Philippines was chosen to be part of the world tour because Endemol found it "awesome and fun." The special episode—which targeted Asia, Europe and Africa—will be aired in the United States on May 7.

WWE Backlash 2008: World Heavyweight Championship Match: Edge vs. The Undertaker (c) (SmackDown! Main Event)

Results:
Second verse, same as the first
By: Louie Dee
April 27, 2008

BALTIMORE – So much for bringing the gold back to the family.

Edge promised on SmackDown that he would bring the World Heavyweight Championship back “where it belongs.” And coming into Backlash, Undertaker’s career record at the event wasn’t quite as impressive as his WrestleMania streak – 16-0 vs. 2-1-1. But just like WrestleMania XXIV, Backlash saw The Phenom notch a win at the expense of Edge, as The Deadman toppled the Rated-R Superstar for the second straight month to walk out of Baltimore still the World Heavyweight Champion.

Over the last four weeks, Edge’s fiancée, SmackDown General Manager Vickie Guerrero, has thrown just about everything – and everyone – in The Phenom’s path in an attempt to soften him up for Backlash. Undaunted, Undertaker navigated that rocky road, surviving his own brother, ECW Champion Kane, as well as Festus and two battles with Batista to arrive in Baltimore for his second go-round with the Ultimate Opportunist.

During the introductions, Undertaker mouthed “I’m going to hurt you” in Edge’s direction – and that’s exactly what The Phenom did. He came out a house of fire early, bouncing Edge from pillar to post until an opportune moment involving a missing turnbuckle pad helped the Rated-R Superstar weaken the champion’s back and take control.

But in the end, even four weeks of torture and appearances by Hawkins & Ryder couldn’t hold The Deadman down. As he went for a chokeslam, Undertaker saw Zack Ryder heading toward the ring. He cut him off by tossing Edge into him, but when The Phenom went for a Last Ride, the challenger snuck out the back door and rolled The Deadman into a sunset flip.

In reality, The Phenom had Edge right where he wanted him. Moving quickly, Undertaker maneuvered the challenger into his vicious new submission hold; the Ultimate Opportunist fought, but was forced to tap out.

That didn’t mean The Deadman was done. After the bell rang, he continued to hold the choke on Edge, not letting go until SmackDown General Manager Vickie Guerrero was wheeled out to ringside to support her fiancé. Only then did The Deadman release the hold, and it would be Vickie’s fiancé who was wheeled out – leaving the arena on a stretcher with blood leaking from his gaping mouth.

Undertaker certainly made a statement, and made good on his pre-match promise. But now that he has two straight victories over Edge and may have put him out of commission, what lies ahead for the World Heavyweight Champion?

Of course, with the Rated-R Superstar being the fiancé of SmackDown’s General Manager, he will most likely never be out of the title hunt. But with several Superstars positioning themselves in the hunt at Backlash – not to mention the fact that CM Punk’s Money in the Bank briefcase is still in play – could The Deadman be in for even more of an all-out assault on the road to Judgment Day?

Phoenix rises again

BALTIMORE – The Glamazon has proven that she’s not one to be forgotten, as the former Women’s Champion and her five-Diva crew came out on top at Backlash in the first-ever 12-Diva Tag Team Match.

With the help of Natalya, Jillian, Melina, Victoria and Layla, Beth Phoenix dominated the thrilling tag match and picked up the pinfall over Ashley. But Phoenix and friends’ victory was far from easy. During the sexiest match at Backlash, the Divas’ battle turned into absolute pandemonium as the 12-woman fight raged on outside of the ring.

In Mickie James’ corner, Michelle McCool’s rivalry with Phoenix escalated early, as the All-American Girl – who was Yahoo!’s No. 1 search on Saturday – looked to once again prove James deserved to win the Women’s Championship, just less than two weeks ago at Raw. Meanwhile, on Phoenix’s side, WWE’s newest Diva, Natalya, made her pay-per-view debut at the 1st Mariner Arena and showed plenty of power alongside her SmackDown cohort, Victoria.

Throughout the 12-Diva Tag Team Match, McCool, Maria, Cherry, Kelly Kelly, Ashley and Women’s Champ James demonstrated that they are forces to be reckoned with in the Divas’ roster. Ashley looked like she’d never back down or give up against The Glamazon. But Phoenix showed that while she might not hold Women’s gold, she’s still a dominant Diva as she forcefully drove her team to victory at Backlash.

Better than the Baller

BALTIMORE – Matt Hardy’s nearly year-long pursuit of MVP and the United States Championship came full circle at Backlash, as the determined Superstar defeated the Ballin’ Superstar to finally claim the gold.

In a rivalry that has been about who is better than whom, Hardy was the better Superstar on this night – proving that the knee injury that kept him away from the ring for months, courtesy of MVP, did not derail his dreams of holding the gold. In a competitive back-and-forth match between the two, Matt Hardy showed MVP and our fans the fire that has made him one of WWE’s greatest competitors, taking control of a mistake by MVP to deliver a Twist of Fate to get the win and shock the brazen Baller.

A multiple-time tag team champion and former Cruiserweight Champion, European Champion and Hardcore Champion, Hardy has always been viewed as a Superstar with tons of untapped potential. With his huge win at Backlash over arguably his biggest rival in his career, the glass ceiling that Matt Hardy has always been high-flying toward has finally been shattered – all at the expense of the former longest running United States Champion in WWE history, the ever-cocky MVP.

BALTIMORE – In this near-biblical battle of WWE giants at Backlash, Big Show proved that size does matter, as The Biggest Athlete in the World outlasted an early onslaught from The Great Khali to pick up the victory.

After a long stare down between the brutes to start the match, the 7-foot-3 Punjabi giant bashed Big Show early, sending him outside the ring with a surprising flurry of offense. Khali’s submission attempts also frustrated the big man, keeping Show in check.

But a thunderous bodyslam of the 420-lb. Khali helped Big Show regain momentum, and the five-time World Champion stunned the Indian colossus with a chokeslam to earn the pinfall victory.

With Khali left looking up at the arena lights, Big Show proved that he can still dominate in a WWE ring, no matter how big or small his opponent is. Who will be next in Show’s sights as he climbs back to the top of the WWE championship ranks?

Flames continue to fly in ECW

BALTIMORE – Fire still burns in the Land of the Extreme as ECW Champion Kane solidified his status at the top of the extreme brand by pinning Chavo Guerrero. The win comes four weeks after the Big Red Machine won the title from Guerrero at WrestleMania XXIV in a mere eight seconds.

Since ‘Mania, the self-proclaimed “Mexican Warrior” has been a thorn in Kane’s side. With the help of Edge, Curt Hawkins, Zack Ryder and his new personal bodyguard, Bam Neely, Chavo has attacked the ECW Champion on numerous occasions. He and his family of associates did everything in their power to give Guerrero the advantage heading into Backlash, but they weren’t able to finish off the pyromaniac when it mattered most.

Edge took a personal interest in Chavo’s rivalry with Kane. The Rated-R Superstar found himself in a situation similar to that of Chavo’s as they each lost their respective titles to one of the Brothers of Destruction at The Granddaddy of Them All. Edge and Chavo banded together in the common interest of taking the titles from Kane and Undertaker’s family and returning them to their own.

Now that the Big Red Machine has proven his championship reign is no fluke, will Chavo Guerrero back off? Or will he continue to make Kane’s life a living hell on ECW?

WWE Backlash 2008 - Results: Batista vs. Shawn Michaels (RAW/SmackDown!)

Play It Again, Shawn

BALTIMORE - Theirs was a grudge born of resentment. After years of deeply-held mutual respect, Batista and Shawn Michaels had found themselves at each other’s throats thanks to a single note of Sweet Chin Music. Tonight at Backlash, their quarrel finally reached a crescendo, with HBK silencing The Animal in the end.

It all began on the night of WrestleMania XXIV when a conflicted HBK defeated Hall of Famer Ric Flair with a single kick to the jaw, forcing the “Nature Boy” into retirement. From that point on, Batista, a longtime Flair acolyte, seethed for his friend and trained his substantial ire on Michaels.

The two traded barbs for weeks as a closure-seeking Michaels tried to explain that he gave Flair his A-game, just as “Naitch” had asked of him. Batista would hear none of it, insisting that The Showstopper could have—no, should have—held back to allow Flair to continue his epic career. Just days prior to Backlash, Michaels even sent a message, surprising Batista on SmackDown and leveling him with Sweet Chin Music of his own.

Any resentment Batista harbored toward Michaels, however, was simply not enough to drive him to victory. As special guest referee Chris Jericho looked on, he kept his distance after a couple of rough weeks dealing with the Backlash foes. The two opponents continued to trade blows and eventually took the action outside of the ring several times until HBK, despite suffering a leg injury, was able to tune up the band once again and lull The Animal to sleep with an encore of Sweet Chin Music.

With his victory over Batista at Backlash, Michaels silenced another critic and added yet one more track to his compilation of Greatest Hits.

BALTIMORE – In a history-making Fatal Four Way Elimination battle at Backlash, The Game defeated a trio of past and present WWE Champions – JBL, John Cena and, ultimately, Randy Orton – to claim his 12th World Title. (Watch: Exclusive video of The Game's win)

Ending the “Age of Orton’s” near seven-month reign, Triple H not only secured his spot at the top of sports-entertainment, The King of Kings reseated himself upon the illustrious WWE Championship throne – notwithstanding any argument from William Regal or any other Raw competitor. And, he did it by outlasting three veritably iconic WWE Superstars.

Boasting a most reputable sports-entertainment résumé, self-proclaimed “wrestling god” JBL was proven false idol by Cena, as the Chain Gang Commander eliminated Layfield with an STFU – the man Cena defeated for his very first WWE Title reign in 2005. With JBL out of the picture, the four-cornered encounter instantly became a WrestleMania XXIV rematch with an elimination clause twist.

At The Granddaddy of Them All one month earlier, The Game came within inches of securing the gold until an opportunistic Legend Killer landed a well-placed punt to Triple H’s skull, enabling Orton to pin a post-Pedigreed Cena. On this night, though destiny would end up displaced from the Legend Killer’s camp, the defending champion’s lunging punt again led to Cena’s downfall.

Before Cena could even release the tight grip of his submission hold on the tapping JBL, Orton connected his boot to the head of his challenger, allowing the titleholder to quickly get the pin on his denim short clad opponent.

Irony heavy on this night, Backlash then became a flashback to No Mercy 2007, the site of Orton’s infamous WWE Title victory against The Game. Then, it was the Legend Killer who took advantage of a battle-weary Triple H on a rollercoaster evening to become a two-time WWE Champion – thus, climaxing a unique war of master vs. apprentice from their days in Evolution.

More than a half-year later, The Cerebral Assassin returned the favor to the Legend Killer, enduring an RKO to keep The King of Kings’ legacy from falling among the list of legendary figures disgraced by Orton. Instead, Triple H added his former ally to a much different list that includes names like Mankind, The Rock, Shawn Michaels and Goldberg – Superstars conquered by The Game en route to the gold on 11 previous occasions.

The 12-time World Champion’s road back to the WWE Title concluded in glory at Backlash, making this evening at 1st Mariner Arena the first night in which many covetous eyes shift in the direction of The Game. But, without question, the King of Kings anxiously waits from atop his throne, ready (perhaps more than ever before) to defend a career’s worth of sacrifice and maintain the ultimate symbol of his commitment and excellence: The WWE Championship.

Music: "All Summer Long" by Kid Rock (LATEST)

WWE Backlash 2008 Theme Song -
"All Summer Long" - Kid Rock (Album: Rock N' Roll Jesus)

Lyrics:

It was 1989, my thoughts were short my hair was long
Caught somewhere between a boy and man
She was seventeen and she was far from in-between
It was summertime in Northern Michigan
Ahh Ahh Ahh
Ahh Ahh Ahh

Splashing through the sand bar
Talking by the campfire
It’s the simple things in life, like when and where
We didn’t have no internet
But man I never will forget
The way the moonlight shined upon her hair

[Chorus:]
And we were trying different things
We were smoking funny things
Making love out by the lake to our favorite song
Sipping whiskey out the bottle, not thinking ’bout tomorrow
Singing Sweet home Alabama all summer long
Singing Sweet home Alabama all summer long

Catching Walleye from the dock
Watching the waves roll off the rocks
She’ll forever hold a spot inside my soul

We’d blister in the sun
We couldn’t wait for night to come
To hit that sand and play some rock and roll

While we were trying different things
And we were smoking funny things
Making love out by the lake to our favorite song
Sipping whiskey out the bottle, not thinking ’bout tomorrow
Singing Sweet Home Alabama all summer long
Singing Sweet Home Alabama all summer long

Now nothing seems as strange as when the leaves began to change
Or how we thought those days would never end
Sometimes I’ll hear that song and I’ll start to sing along
And think man I’d love to see that girl again

[Repeat Chorus x2]

Singing Sweet Home Alabama all summer long
Singing Sweet Home Alabama all summer long
Singing Sweet Home Alabama all summer long
Singing Sweet Home Alabama all summer long’

"Touch My Body" by Mariah Carey

Lyrics:

MC, you’re the place to be
Oh yeah, oh yeah, oh yeah, oh yeah, oh yeah
Oh yeah, oh yeah, oh yeah, oh yeah

I know that you’ve been waiting for it
I’m waiting too
In my imagination I’d be all up on you
I know you got that fever for me
Hundred and two
And boy I know I feel the same
My temperature’s through the roof

If there’s a camera up in here
Then it’s gonna leave with me
When I do (I do)
If there’s a camera up in here
Then I’d best not catch this flick
On YouTube (YouTube)
’Cause if you run your mouth and brag
About this secret rendezvous
I will hunt you down
’Cause baby I’m up in my bidness
Like a Wendy interview
But this is private
Between you and I

Touch my body
Put me on the floor
Wrestle me around
Play with me some more
Touch my body
Throw me on the bed
I just wanna make you feel
Like you never did.
Touch my body
Let me wrap my thighs
All around your waist
Just a little taste
Touch my body
Know you love my curves
Come on and give me what I deserve
And touch my body.

Boy you can put me on you
Like a brand new white tee
I’ll hug your body tighter
Than my favorite jeans
I want you to caress me
Like a tropical breeze
And float away with you
In the Caribbean Sea

If there’s a camera up in here
Then it’s gonna leave with me
When I do (I do)
If there’s a camera up in here
Then I’d best not catch this flick

Come on and give me what I deserve
And touch my body.

Imma treat you like a teddy bear
You won’t wanna go nowhere
In the lap of luxury
Baby just turn to me
You won’t want for nothing boy
I will give you plenty
Touch my body

Touch my body
Put me on the floor
Wrestle me around
Play with me some more
Touch my body

CBS Sinks Its Teeth Into Friday Win
'Numb3rs' is strong and 'Moonlight' stays steady

Fast National ratings for Friday, April 25, 2008.

With the return of "Moonlight," all three of CBS' Friday dramas are now back in original episodes, helping the network to easily tame the otherwise sluggish competition.

Overall, CBS had a 5.6 rating/10 share, well ahead of second place NBC's 4.0/7 and the 3.0/5 for third place ABC. FOX had a 2.6/5 for fourth, followed closely by the 2.4/4 for The CW.

Things weren't much closer among adults 18-49, as CBS' 2.2 rating in the key demo was solidly in front of the 1.6 rating for NBC. FOX and The CW both had 1.3 demo ratings, leaving ABC in fifth with a 1.2 rating.

Sophia Myles and Alex O'Loughlin of 'Moonlight'

CBS swept the night's primetime hours starting with the 5.7/11 for "Ghost Whisperer." ABC was second with a 3.3/7 for "America's Funniest Home Videos." NBC was third with an hour of "Most Outrageous TV Moments." The FOX movie "13 Going on 30" had a 2.5/5 to nip the 2.2/4 for The CW's "WWE Friday Night Smackdown."

At 9 p.m. the return of "Moonlight" did a 5.0/9, down from its lead-in, but very much in line with the vampire drama's average performance this season. NBC moved up to second with a 4.8/9 for "Dateline." FOX's movie was up to a 2.8/5, just ahead of The CW's wrestling for third. ABC's "Duel" was last with a 2.4/4.

The night's highest ratings went to CBS' "Num3rs," which had a 6.1/11 in the 10 p.m. hour. NBC was second with the 4.5/8 for "Dateline" and ABC's "20/20" took third.

Batista rests in peace after a thunderous Undertaker Tombstone.

And on the seventh day, he rested ... in peace
By: Louie Dee
Written: April 25, 2008

GREENSBORO, N.C. – Unfortunately for Batista, seven wasn’t quite heaven on Friday Night SmackDown. In the seventh chapter of the epic war between Undertaker and Batista, The Phenom evened the score of their rivalry, taming The Animal and retaining the World Heavyweight Championship – with an unexpected assist from Shawn Michaels.

For the first time in nearly five months, the World Heavyweight Championship was on the line on SmackDown. But the battle wasn’t just a rematch of last week’s double count-out between Undertaker and Batista; it was also the latest chapter in a rivalry that has now spanned more than a year. Since meeting for the gold – then held by Batista – at WrestleMania 23 last April 1, the two Superstars have clashed six times total, with The Animal holding a 2-1 advantage over The Phenom with three draws.

As if that wasn’t drama enough, there was more hinging on this match. Earlier in the night, General Manager Vickie Guerrero made the match No Disqualification, meaning these two Superstars could use anything under the sun to stop the other. And of course, there was Vickie’s edict last Friday night: The winner would go on to defend the gold against Edge at Backlash. That also meant that if Batista toppled The Deadman, his very personal issue with Shawn Michaels would have to take a spot on the back burner while The Animal battled Edge in Baltimore.

Fortunately for The Deadman, one could argue, HBK made sure that wouldn’t be a problem.

Once again, Phenom and Animal battled tooth and nail. With both men knowing each other so well, it was hard for either to gain a clear-cut advantage for any length of time. Batista managed to block Undertaker’s attempt to go Old School and escaped chokeslams, a Last Ride attempt and even a Tombstone try; likewise, the champion survived Batista’s biggest offense, refusing to succumb to spears, spinebusters and even avoiding the Batista Bomb.

In the end, the No-Disqualification stipulation turned out to be Batista’s undoing – but not before it nearly cost Undertaker the gold. When The Animal kicked out of Undertaker’s Last Ride, The Phenom decided to introduce the steel ring steps into the fracas. Batista, knowing Undertaker’s modus operandi, wiggled out of the champion’s Tombstone attempt on the steps – instead dropping him with a thundering spinebuster that bounced The Phenom’s back off the steel like a motorcycle hitting a guardrail.

But when the challenger went to finish the job, it was he who ended up finished. As Batista set Undertaker up for a Batista Bomb, Shawn Michaels emerged out of the crowd and slid into the ring. The issue between HBK and The Animal has become very personal, and with his Backlash battle with Batista about to go by the boards, Michaels had a choice to make – leave well enough alone or ensure his opportunity at Batista.

In what could be classified as an “un-Michaels-like” moment, HBK chose to take advantage of the No Disqualification edict by rocking The Animal with Sweet Chin Music, nearly taking his head off in the process. With Batista on Dream Street, Undertaker scooped him up and dropped him off at Tombstone Drive. Three seconds later, The Phenom’s long, hard road to Backlash ended in a victory over one of his fiercest rivals.

While religious faiths declare that God may have rested on the seventh day, it’s more than apparent that the WWE Superstars won’t. Backlash beckons this coming Sunday, with Undertaker set to face Edge for the World Heavyweight Championship and HBK vs. Batista once again fully confirmed. But after witnessing the battle that The Phenom had to survive just 48 hours prior – not to mention Undertaker’s previous four weeks of hell on Earth – will the Ultimate Opportunist once again be the one resting in the Winners’ Circle with the title in hand come Sunday night?

The Internet to Hit "FULL CAPACITY/LIMIT" on 2010?

____________________________________________

SOURCE (click link): Yahoo! Tech

2010: D-day for the Internet as it hits "full capacity"?
Wed Apr 23, 2008 4:19PM EDT

Buzz up!on Yahoo!Doom-filled warnings arrive from AT&T this week. The company says that without substantial investment in network infrastructure, the Internet will essentially run out of bandwidth in just two short years.

Blame broadband, says AT&T. Decades of dealing with the trickle of bandwidth consumed by voice and dialup modems left AT&T twiddling its thumbs. The massive rise of DSL and cable modem service in the 2000s has had AT&T facing a monstrous increase in the volume of data transmissions. And that's set to increase another 50 times between now and 2015. That's enough, says AT&T, to all but crash the system.

In response, AT&T says it's investing $19 billion to upgrade the backbone of the Internet, the routers, servers, and connections where the bulk of traffic is processed.

Of course, AT&T is using this breathlessness in part to point fingers beyond simple broadband use. Web video (especially high-definition video) is the most commonly mentioned bandwidth hog. AT&T says video alone will eat up 80 percent of traffic in two years vs. just 30 percent now. One wonders how YouTube doesn't collapse under the pressure. Hmmm.

Meanwhile, many are wondering whether this is prelude to AT&T announcing (or not announcing, but doing anyway) a traffic prioritization/shaping system like Comcast has been tinkering with... and which has earned it nothing but scorn. Net neutrality (which would forbid premium pricing for certain Internet applications and destinations) is a topic that continues to be hotly debated on Capitol Hill, and telcos are anxious to kill the idea since they'd love to be able to charge additional money for different kinds of web traffic. If the whole Internet is about to crash, well, that makes AT&T's argument all the more compelling, doesn't it?

TV Ratings (April 21-24): "The Singing Bee" and "Da Big Show" premiere with different fates

Erwin Santiago

Friday, April 25, 2008
08:18 PM

Two new game shows premiered last Monday, April 21, ABS-CBN's The Singing Bee and GMA-7's Da Big Show.

The Singing Bee, hosted by Cesar Montano, is a combination of karaoke singing and spelling-bee style competition where the contestants must remember the correct lyrics of popular songs. Da Big Show, hosted by Ogie Alcasid, is a game show where all the favorite Pinoy games are biggie-sized.

Between the two, The Singing Bee had more success. It piloted with an impressive 23.9 percent, grabbing the fifth spot in the primetime race and leading all ABS-CBN programs.

Da Big Show, on the other hand, posted a rating of 15.4 percent on its pilot episode to take the No. 7 slot in the daytime race. Its rival, ABS-CBN's Pilipinas, Game KNB? performed better with 16.5 percent to take the fifth place.

The Singing Bee improved its ratings the following nights to maintain its position at No. 5. Da Big Show also managed to keep its seventh-place position, except Thursday, despite its downhill ratings.

Another Kapamilya game show, Kris Aquino's Wheel of Fortune continues its domination over Arnell Ignacio's Gobingo, which posted its lowest rating, 9.7 percent, last Wednesday.

While Eat Bulaga! remains the No. 1 weekday daytime program, Kamandag had overtaken Joaquin Bordado as the leading primetime show. Richard Gutierrez's fantaserye will have its final episode tonight, April 25.

Richard Gutierrez not leaving GMA Network

FIRST READ ON PEP: Richard Gutierrez never considered leaving GMA-7
Nitz Miralles
Friday, April 25, 2008
07:21 PM (Philippine Time)

STILL A KAPUSO.

"Honestly, I can't see myself working with any other bosses than my bosses here in GMA. I'm blessed, I have the best bosses here. I can't see myself working in any other camp. Hindi lang business dito, this is more of a family. Matagal na ako rito, this is my family at napamahal na sila sa akin, from my bosses to the production staff."

I was the last one to know. Honestly, hindi dumapo sa isip ko ‘yan. Tinawagan nga ako ni Raymond [Gutierrez, his twin brother] at nagtanong if I've read the newspaper at sabi ko, hindi," kuwento ng young actor.

Agad tinapos ni Richard ang isyung paglipat niya sa ABS-CBN at excited na nagkuwento sa Asero.

"Action-packed ito and something fresh for me to be working with Heart [Evangelista]. Fresh sa audience ang tambalan namin and I'm looking forward working with her. That's why I'm very excited," saad niya.

Si Richard na rin ang sumagot kung bakit sa Dubai nila piniling i-shoot ang pilot week ng Asero.

"We wanted something visually stunning and different. Why Dubai? Because of the desert dunes and it is something to see it on screen," paliwanag niya.

"I'm so happy sa feedback ng Signos, it's a new venture for me at isa yun sa project na hindi ko makakalimutan," sabi ni Richard. "Thankful ako sa GMA News & Public Affairs for the opportunity of being part of the documentary. For the new contract, I'm doing an environmental documentary at every year kong gagawin ito."

HEART EVANGELISTA. Nabanggit ni Richard sa PEP na hindi pa sila uli nagkikita ni Heart. The last time they met was two years ago.

Jimmy Fallon, Successor to Conan O'Brien's "Late Night with Conan O'Brien"

Reports: Jimmy Fallon to Succeed Conan O'Brien
Former 'SNL' star set to take over 'Late Night' in '09

The second piece of NBC's late-night succession plan is falling into place.

Speculation has been swirling for a few months that former "Saturday Night Live" regular Jimmy Fallon would take over "Late Night" when Conan O'Brien moves to "The Tonight Show" next year. That looks to be pretty much a done deal now.

Jimmy Fallon

The showbiz trade papers report that Fallon, who's been a frequent guest on O'Brien's show and guest-hosted CBS' "Late Night with David Letterman" a few years back, will be announced as O'Brien's replacement at NBC's upfront event on Monday, May 12. O'Brien is expected to take over "The Tonight Show" in early 2009, which would in turn give Fallon time to develop his own show.

Fallon signed a holding deal with NBC last year, which fueled buzz that he was being groomed to take over "Late Night."

Still up in the air is Jay Leno's future at NBC. He has enjoyed a years-long run at the top of the late-night ratings, and NBC is reportedly looking for ways to keep him in the fold. FOX and ABC are also interested in securing Leno's services.

Since leaving "SNL" in 2004, Fallon has starred in "Fever Pitch" and "Taxi" and hosted the 2005 MTV Movie Awards.

WWE Friday Night SmackDown! - Preview (April 25, 2008)

Will it be Undertaker or Batista defending the World Heavyweight Championship come Backlash?

Lucky Seven
By: Louie Dee
Written: April 24, 2008

1-2-3.

No, we’re not counting a pinfall – that’s World Heavyweight Champion Undertaker’s record against Batista over the last 13 months.

Friday on SmackDown, it’s do-or-die time for The Phenom, as he goes one-on-one with The Animal for the World Heavyweight Championship. It’s the proverbial game seven of their series – with the Rated-R Superstar, Edge, lurking in the next round at Backlash.

But before Edge finds out who he will face this Sunday, he – as well as the WWE Fan Nation – will witness another chapter in the epic war between Batista and Undertaker. Six times in 13 months, these two have torn down the house in a war that began on the Grandest Stage of Them All.

At last year’s WrestleMania, Batista walked into Detroit’s Ford Field as World Heavyweight Champion – but Undertaker walked out with the gold. That night, The Phenom won their first meeting, dropping The Animal with a Tombstone Piledriver to claim the title, run his WrestleMania streak to 15-0 and go one-up on Batista.

Over the next six weeks, they would battle twice more – once in a brutal Last Man Standing Match at last year’s Backlash, then in a SmackDown Steel Cage showdown – with neither man able to defeat the other. But when Undertaker suffered a torn biceps thanks to a post-Steel Cage Match attack from Mark Henry, Edge swooped in to steal the gold, effectively tabling the epic Undertaker-Batista series.

Flash-forward to Cyber Sunday. On a cold late-October night, Batista finally exorcised his demon. With “Stone Cold” Steve Austin serving as fan-appointed guest referee, The Animal – who had once again won the World Heavyweight Championship during Undertaker’s injury hiatus – successfully defended the gold against The Phenom and evened the score.

They would have another rematch, this time at Survivor Series inside the most demonic structure in WWE – Hell in a Cell. Again, it would be Batista who came out on top, as Edge – who was making his own re-emergence after a four-month injury layoff – cost Undertaker his chance to regain the gold.

Since then, Undertaker and Batista have come face-to-face a few more times; both men were involved in the Armageddon Triple Threat Match where Edge regained the World Heavyweight Championship, and The Phenom and The Animal were also the last two men in the No Way Out Elimination Chamber Match that saw Undertaker officially punch his WrestleMania ticket. Then, there was just last week, as both Superstars were counted out in their sixth official singles scrap.

But that match was non-title, and it didn’t have the specter of the main event of Backlash hanging in the balance – at least for Batista. This Friday, that will all be there. As of now, Undertaker will defend the gold against Edge this Sunday, while Batista is set to battle Shawn Michaels. But, if The Animal can score his third win over The Deadman, it will be Undertaker who’s left out in the cold at Backlash.

Batista and Undertaker know each other very well – almost too well, one might surmise, which should make for a hard-hitting human chess game come Friday night. But which one will put the other in checkmate and punch their golden ticket to Baltimore?

"That So Raven" Star, Lost and NOW Found; Issues Statement

'Raven' star Orlando Brown re-emerges after going missing

LOS ANGELES (AP) — Orlando Brown, a star of Disney Channel's That's So Raven, has been found a day after his publicist reported him missing.

The 20-year-old actor and aspiring musician disappeared Tuesday morning without word. He re-emerged Wednesday and issued a lengthy statement.

"It was wrong for me not to inform my manager ... about my whereabouts, especially when I am usually so routine and big on communication, but I felt a little lost and needed to get away," Brown said in a statement released Wednesday by his publicist, Elayne Rivers.

Brown went on to say he was upset at "how we as entertainers are so disrespected at times" after an incident at a nightclub where he had expected to open for the headlining act.

"I felt that that was my chance to prove that I was talented and I was really excited," Brown said. "When I was told that I couldn't perform... that really hurt. ... It got a bit overwhelming and I needed to be alone."
