LOS ANGELES -- Fast National ratings for Friday, Jan. 4, 2007
It was close, but in the end NBC managed to claim a victory in the ratings war for Friday night with a 4.5 rating/8 share, just ahead of ABC's 4.4/7. CBS came in third with a 3.9/7, followed by FOX with a 3.9/6 and The CW with a 2.8/5.
NBC also scored the 18-to-49 demo with a 2.1, just ahead of FOX's 2.0. ABC, CBS and The CW all tied for third place with a 1.6 each.
Bob Saget, host of NBC's "1 vs. 100"
NBC started off the night at 8 p.m. with the highest-rated show of the night, "1 vs. 100," 5.4/9. CBS' "Ghost Whisperer" snagged a 4.4/8, while FOX's "Bones" found a 3.2/6 rattling around on its new Friday night home. A "Grey's Anatomy" repeat mustered a 2.8/3 for ABC while The CW threw down with "WWE Friday Night SmackDown!"
ABC leaped up to first place at 9 p.m. with "Women's Murder Club," 5.2/9, while FOX moved to second place with "House," 4.1/7. NBC slid to third place behind "Friday Night Lights," 3.2/6, still ahead of CBS' "Moonlight," 2.8/6, which still managed to beat the second hour of wrestling on The CW.
ABC maintained the top spot at 10 p.m. courtesy of "20/20," 5.2/9. NBC ended the evening in second with "Las Vegas," 4.5/8 and CBS' "Numb3rs," 4.0/7, finished in third.
