Samuel L. Jackson Plotting Small Screen Move
His Uppity Films banner has a first-look deal with CBS Paramount Network TV
Is the time finally right for that "Snakes on a Plane" TV series?
Samuel Jackson's production shingle has signed a first-look deal with CBS Paramount Network TV.
According to the industry trade papers, Jackson's Uppity Films banner is currently seeking an executive to head up its TV development arm.
While both trades agree that Jackson isn't looking to develop a starring small screen vehicle for himself, they suggest the possibility that he might be willing to drop by a possible TV series in the way Hugh Jackman did on "Viva Laughlin" or Salma Hayek has done on "Ugly Betty."
Jackson's lone small screen production credit is Spike TV's "Afro Samurai."
Perhaps the hardest working (or at least most frequently working) man in show business, Jackson has already appeared in "Jumper" and "Iron Man" this year, with "Lakeview Terrace" and "The Spirit" still set for 2008 release.
