Night two of "American Idol" dropped off a bit from Tuesday's premiere but still dominated Wednesday's ratings.
FOX averaged a 16.8 rating/25 share for the night. NBC finished second, albeit with less than half of FOX's audience, at 7.2/11. CBS, 6.1/9, came in third, followed by ABC at 3.8/6. The CW managed only a 0.9/1.
Among adults 18-49, FOX's 12.6 rating was far and away the night's best. NBC, 3.0, took second in the demographic. ABC came in third at 2.2, edging CBS' 2.0. The CW recorded a meager 0.6.

The second round of "Idol" auditions scored a 15.2/23 for FOX at 8 p.m. "Deal or No Deal," 7.6/12, put NBC in second. "Wife Swap" drew a 3.5/6 for ABC, just beating "Power of 10" on CBS. "Crowned" delivered a 1.1/2 for The CW.
"American Idol" rose to 18.4/27 at 9 p.m. CBS moved into second with the conclusion of "Comanche Moon," 7.3/11. "Law & Order: Criminal Intent" earned a 6.1/9 for NBC. ABC got a 4.1/6 from "Supernanny," while The CW aired a repeat of "Gossip Girl."
"Comanche Moon" (7.6/13) led the 10 p.m. hour in viewers despite a higher household rating for NBC's "Law & Order," 7.8/13 ("L&O" had better demographic numbers). "Cashmere Mafia" came in at 3.8/6 for ABC.
