FOX tops night, returning dramas help CBS

A pair of returning dramas boosted CBS' fortunes Wednesday, but it was mostly business as usual as "American Idol" and FOX led the night.
FOX averaged a 10.5 rating/17 share in primetime, easily beating CBS' 6.8/11. NBC took third with a 4.8/8. ABC, 3.8/6, came in fourth, and The CW trailed with a 2.0/3.
In the adults 18-49 demographic, FOX's 6.6 rating led the way. CBS drew a 3.1 to finish second. ABC was third at 2.0, followed by NBC, 1.8, and The CW, 1.3.
FOX grabbed the lead at 8 p.m. with the season finale of "The Moment of Truth," 6.4/11. "Deal or No Deal," 6.0/11, put NBC in second. "Big Brother: 'Til Death Do You Part" drew a 4.0/6 for CBS, edging "Wife Swap" on ABC. "America's Next Top Model" earned a 2.8/5 for The CW.
The "American Idol" results show scored a 14.6/22 for FOX at 9 p.m. The return of "Criminal Minds" delivered an 8.2/13 for CBS, moving the network into a solid second place. "Supernanny," 3.8/6, finished third for ABC. A repeat of "Law & Order: Criminal Intent" was fourth for NBC, while an encore of Monday's "Girlicious" drew a 1.2/2 for The CW.
At 10 p.m., "CSI: NY" returned to original episodes with an 8.2/14. A "Law & Order" rerun posted a 4.6/8 for NBC, and ABC's "Men in Trees" came in at 3.7/6.
