Another CBS Win for Eye-day Friday
Drama series also drew the best adult demo to CBS

Fast National ratings for Friday, May 9, 2008

If it's Friday, then the viewers predictably must be at CBS. Yup, no surprises there.

CBS received a soft yet solid (much like a hard-boiled egg) 5.5 rating/10 share for the night, easily beating ABC, 4.2/8. NBC took third at 3.8/7. The CW, 2.4/4, edged FOX, 2.2/4, for fourth.

It was a similar story for adults 18-49, who gave CBS a 2.0 rating. ABC finished second at 1.7, NBC took third with a 1.4, just ahead of The CW 1.3. FOX drew a 1.1.

"Ghost Whisperer" started out strong for CBS with a 5.7/11 at 8 p.m. ABC's "TV's All Time Funniest" special gave the network second with a 4.0/8, well ahead of third-place NBC, which had a 2.8/6 for a rerun of "Most Outrageous Moments." "WWE Friday Night SmackDown!" put The CW in fourth, just ahead of FOX's movie "Man of the House," 2.2/4.

"Moonlight's" 5.0/9 kept CBS in the lead at 9 o'clock, while ABC's "TV's All Time Funniest" performed consistently in second for a 4.6/8. NBC's "Dateline" moved the network up significantly with a 4.0/8. The CW's "SmackDown!" earned a 2.5/4 for the hour, squeaking by the conclusion of FOX's movie, 2.4/4.

"Numb3rs" completed CBS' hat trick with a 5.8/11 at 10 p.m., while NBC finally moved into second with another hour of "Dateline" taking in a 4.5/8. ABC's "20/20" drew a 4.2/8.
