Umaga To SmackDown, Tribute To The Troops On NBC
WWE held it's 2008 Stockholders Meeting on Friday morning. During the meeting, Vince McMahon made these announcements:
-- This year's Tribute To The Troops special will air on NBC, likely in prime time.
-- MyNetworkTV will air a 1-hour recap of WrestleMania 24 as part of SmackDown's premiere on the network. The recap special features clips of WrestleMania 24 set to music.
-- Umaga will be switching brands shortly (SmackDown!).
-- Vince also talked about the Benoit tragedy, congress investigating wrestling, dealing with the media, WWE's expansion, switching to HD, the brand extension and future WrestleManias.
