FOX and CBS waged a close race for the ratings lead Tuesday night, but FOX came out on top in both in both the 18-49 demographic and the overall measures.
For the night, FOX averaged an 8.3 rating/12 share, beating out CBS' 7.9/12. ABC, 7.5/12, came in third. NBC's 6.0/9 was good for fourth, and The CW was well back at 1.7/3.
FOX had a bigger lead in the adults 18-49 demo, where it scored a 5.6 rating. NBC took second at 3.6. CBS, 3.0, came in third, followed by ABC, 2.8, and The CW, 1.1.

"NCIS," 11.5/18, drew the night's biggest audience for CBS at 8 p.m. FOX came in second with "Bones," 5.8/9. "The Biggest Loser" put NBC in third with a 4.9/8, beating "Cavemen" and "Carpoolers" on ABC. "Beauty and the Geek" earned a 1.8/3 for The CW.
At 9 p.m., ABC's "Dancing with the Stars" led in households with an 11.4/17, but "House" (10.8/16) brought more total viewers to FOX. CBS dropped to third with "The Unit," 7.0/10. A second hour of "The Biggest Loser" improved slightly to 5.1/8. The CW held steady with "Reaper."
