Crime Still Pays for CBS on Wednesday

CBS once again reigned midweek as its slate of crime dramas not only took the overall ratings win, but also handily brought home the adults 18-49 demographic bragging rights.
The Eye averaged a 7.6 rating/13 share in primetime, beating NBC's 5.4/9 for the top spot. ABC's 5.0/8 wasn't far behind for third, while FOX, 3.3/6, came in fourth, and the CW trailed woefully with a 1.7/3.
In the adults 18-49 demographic, CBS led with a 3.1 rating, beating NBC's 2.5 and ABC's 2.3. FOX took fourth with a 1.9, followed by The CW 1.7.
ABC's "Pushing Daisies" led at 8 p.m. with a 4.7/8. CBS' "Kid Nation," 4.3/7, edged NBC's "Phenomenon" and FOX's repeats of "Back to You" and "'Til Death," averaging 3.3/6 for the hour. A brand new "America's Next Top Model" delivered a 2.5/4 for The CW.
The night's best rating went to CBS' "Criminal Minds," 9.6/16, for the second week in a row at the 9 o'clock hour. "Private Practice" put ABC in second with a 5.7/9, just barely ahead of NBC's third-place "Deal or No Deal," 5.4/9. FOX stayed in fourth with "Kitchen Nightmares," which easily schooled a repeat of "Gossip Girl," which earned a 1.0/2 for The CW.
At 10 p.m., "CSI: NY" kept CBS on top with an 8.9/15. A second "Deal or No Deal" fared better than its predecessor, bringing NBC, 7.0/12, into second place, while ABC's "Dirty Sexy Money" wrapped it up with a 4.5/8.
