LOS ANGELES -- Fast National ratings for Friday, Feb. 22, 2007 (USA)
Despite an up-and-down evening, CBS' programming ultimately did the trick once again, winning Friday night among households with a 5.1 rating/9 share. FOX was second with a 4.8/8 while NBC came in third with a 4.6/8. ABC managed fourth place with a 4.2/7, while The CW trailed behind with a 2.8/5.
Among 18 to 49-year-olds, FOX ruled with a 2.5/7 to NBC's 2.2/6. CBS was still in the game with a 2.0/6, ahead of ABC's 1.9/5 and The CW's 1.4/4.
"Price Is Right" host, Drew Carey
At 8 p.m., CBS started the night with the highest-rated show of the night, a primetime edition of "Price Is Right," 5.9/10, easily beating NBC's game show "1 vs. 100," 4.7/8. A repeat of "Bones" performed solidly for FOX, 4.6/8, while The CW gave over its evening to "WWE Friday Night SmackDown." ABC languished in last place with a "Grey's Anatomy" repeat.
[1st hour: SmackDown! got 4.32 million viewers and 1.3/4 in the demographic.]
FOX shot up to first place at 9 p.m. with a "House" repeat, 5.1/8. The series premiere of NBC's new Dennis Miller-hosted game show "Amne$ia" debuted with a 4.7/8 while ABC moved to third with "20/20," 4.4/7, while "Ghost Whisperer" dropped CBS to fourth place with a 4.2/7, still well ahead of The CW's wrestling.
[2nd hour: SmackDown! got 5.12 million viewers and 1.5/4 in the demographic.]
ABC got an hour in the No. 1 position at 10 pm. with the special "20/20: What Would You Do," 5.6/10. CBS was back in second with "Numb3rs," 5.1/9. NBC finished off its night with "Dateline," 4.3/7.
