"CW Now" only has two more weeks until it's CW no more.
The Green network's entertainment newsmagazine has been canceled, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
The experimental series set out to stay on top of the latest trends in fashion, technology and activities as well as the gossip on celebrities. Airing on Sundays beginning last fall, it was presented without commercial interruption thanks to heavy product placement.
"While you always wish the ratings were higher, we are proud of 'CW Now' and how it improved every week from a creative standpoint," said CW COO John Maatta. "The program was a highly collaborative endeavor, and you can't put a price tag on what we learned from this project."
"CW Now" will have two chances at a swan song, airing two new episodes in its reagular Sunday 7 p.m. slot through Feb. 24. After that date, repeats of the tenth cycle of "America's Next Top Model" will take its place.
Paired with the network's web-centric "Online Nation," which was canceled in October, the combined Sunday hour fared poorly, averaging a 0.7/1 for their premieres. As of last year, "CW Now" only averaged 842,000 viewers and was the 99th ranked show according to Nielsen.
