The first Wednesday of August stayed true to summer form for FOX.
Overall, FOX averaged a 5.0 rating/9 share, beating the 4.6/8 for CBS and NBC's 4.3/7. ABC finished fourth for the night with a 2.9/5 and The CW trailed with a 1.0/2.
FOX won among adults 18-49 as well, doing a 3.0 rating in the key demographic. NBC moved up to second with a 2.6 rating, while CBS was third with a 1.9 rating. ABC's 1.4 rating and The CW's 0.7 rating followed.
"So You Think You Can Dance" kicked the night off in first for FOX with a 4.9/9. NBC's "Most Outrageous Moments" was second, followed by the 3.6/7 for a pair of "King of Queens" episodes. ABC's "According to Jim" episodes with fourth, beating the 1.0/2 for "America's Next Top Model" on The CW.
FOX also won at 9 p.m. with 5.1/8 averaged between "Dance" and "Don't Forget the Lyrics." CBS' "Criminal Minds" had a 4.8/8 for second, better than the 4.1/7 for NBC's "Last Comic Standing." ABC's "American Inventor" was fourth with a 3.4/6, leaving The CW's "ANTM" in fifth.
CBS closed in first with a 5.5/9 for "CSI: NY." NBC was second with "Dateline NBC," which left the return of "The Nine" to ABC in third with a 2.2/4.
