Mega Manila TV Ratings: March 28-31, 2008 (Friday-Monday)

Mega Manila TV Ratings: March 28-31, 2008 (Friday-Monday)

Weekend viewing became more exciting with the arrival of former matinee idol Gabby Concepcion. His live interview with Boy Abunda on The Buzz a few hours after he arrived last Sunday, March 30, was much talked about. But surprisingly, this did not do much to boost the rating of The Buzz, which only got 9.6 percent compared to its rival show Showbiz Central's 14.3 percent—which had Pia Guanio interviewing Dina Bonnevie, the ex-wife of Pia's boyfriend Vic Sotto.

Aside from Gabby, The Buzz also had a special feature on his daughter KC Concepcion that made that particular episode sort of a family affair. A few hours later, Gabby's ex-wife and KC's mother Sharon Cuneta was also seen in her weekly show, which posted a rating of 16.8 percent to grab the seventh spot in the Sunday primetime race.

Speaking of KC, her month-long drama anthology in ABS-CBN titled I Am KC premiered last Saturday, March 29, with a modest 19.1 percent to take the No. 6 position among primetime programs. Bitoy's Funniest Videos took the top spot with 31.5 percent.

The ABS-CBN primetime drama series Maging Sino Ka Man had its final episode last Friday, March 28, posting a rating of 20 percent—its highest in months—to nab the tenth spot.

Maging Sino Ka Man was replaced by a new Koranovela titled Lovers starring Lovers in Paris' Vivian (Kim Jung Eun). It premiered last night, March 31, with 13.4 percent.

Meanwhile, Daisy Siete's 17th season titled "Ulingling" also had its last episode Friday, grabbing the top spot with 21.8 percent while the pilot episode of its 18th season titled "The Prince and the 7 Maids" placed second Monday with 21.9 percent.

Janno Gibbs's game show in GMA-7, Kakasa Ka Ba Sa Grade 5?, also had its season finale episode Saturday at No. 3 with 25.5 percent. Michael V. was the celebrity contestant, and he was also the first and only contestant to win the P1 million jackpot prize.

Kamandag had taken the No. 1 spot in the nightly primetime race from Joaquin Bordado, which dropped to No. 2.

Babangon Ako't Dudurugin Kita and 24 Oras took the third and fourth positions alternately, while Pinoy Big Brother Teen Edition Plus is consistent at No. 5 even during the weekend.
