LOS ANGELES -- Fast National ratings for Friday, March 21, 2008

Not surprisingly, TV viewers were consumed with a case of March Madness, allowing CBS airing of the NCAA Basketball Tournament to win Friday night among households with a 5.2 ratings/9 share. ABC came in second with a 4.2/8, followed by NBC's 4.1/8, FOX's 2.8/5 and The CW's 2.4/4.

CBS had an even bigger hold over the 18 to 49-year-olds, snagging a 3.1/10 for the night. ABC was second with a 1.7/5 while the other three networks tied for third place with a 1.4/5 each.

CBS started off in first place at 8 p.m. with NBC's "Amne$ia" coming in second, 3.5/7. A repeat of "Grey's Anatomy" got the evening started for ABC with a 2.9/6. The CW put its usual "SmackDown!" on the evening, while a repeat of "'Til Death," 2.3/4, and a new episode of "The Return of Jezebel James," 2.1/4, kept FOX viewers occupied.

At 9 p.m., CBS had the highest-rated hour of the night with a 5.5/10. "20/20" moved ABC up to second place, 4.4/8, while NBC slipped to third with "Dateline," 4.0/7. A repeat of "House," 3.4/6, gave FOX the advantage over The CW.

ABC's "20/20" put the network in first place for the final hour of primetime at 10 p.m., 5.2/9, ahead of CBS. NBC's "Dateline" improved slightly over the previous hour, 4.8/9.
