Fast National ratings for Sunday, March 9, 2008 (USA)

The newest ABC feel-good reality show slipped some in Sunday's ratings, but old standby "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition" still led the network to a win.

ABC averaged a 6.1 rating/10 share for the night, beating CBS' 5.4/9 for the top spot. NBC was not far behind at 4.9/8. FOX came in fourth with a 3.4/6, and The CW drew a meager 0.9/1.

The adults 18-49 race also went to ABC, which drew a 3.4 rating in the demographic. FOX took second at 2.6. NBC, 2.0, came in third, followed closely by CBS at 1.9. The CW managed only a 0.5.

CBS began the night on top with "60 Minutes" earning a 7.7/14 at 7 p.m. "America's Funniest Home Videos," 4.0/7, put ABC in second, beating NBC's "100 Most Outrageous Moments." Reruns of "King of the Hill" and "American Dad" averaged 2.0/4, a point better than an "America's Next Top Model" rerun on The CW.

"Extreme Makeover: Home Edition," 7.3/12, moved ABC to the lead at 8 p.m., drawing the night's biggest viewer total (12.36 million). "Most Outrageous Moments" improved to 5.9/9, bumping NBC up to second. CBS' "Big Brother," 4.2/7, tied FOX's "The Simpsons" and "King of the Hill" in households, but FOX drew more total viewers. "Everybody Hates Chris" and "Aliens in America" averaged 0.9/1 for The CW.

At 9 p.m., "Oprah's Big Give" (7.4/11) lost almost 4 million viewers from last week's premiere but still kept ABC in front. A "Cold Case" rerun, 5.3/8, finished second for CBS. NBC's "Law & Order" repeat was third, topping "Family Guy," 4.7/7, and "Unhitched," 3.2/5, on FOX. The CW went with reruns of "Girlfriends" and "The Game."

A "Law & Order: SVU" repeat, 5.7/9, led the 10 p.m. hour in households, although "Here Come the Newlyweds," brought more viewers to ABC. "Dexter" posted a 4.4/7 for CBS.
